Professional Profile
Mr. Ghosh qualified in 1993 and has been employed in many NHS hospitals in the UK since 1996 in different capacities. He gained extensive training and experience in Gynaecology over the past eighteen years.Mr. Ghosh obtained his Membership from the RCOG London in 2002 and Fellowship from the same institution in 2014.
He has worked in a consultant capacity since 2012 and joined Nottingham NHS treatmentCentre in Dec.2014 as a Consultant Gynaecologist. He is now a full time Consultant Gynaecologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and has been since 2019.
He was the first consultant to start performing major gynaecological inpatient procedures on a regular basis (which was not regularly performed at the Treatment Centre in the past) using the enhanced recovery programme which he developed and implemented in his previous NHS post as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
Personal Profile
Mr.Ghosh is married with two children and loves spending time watching interesting programmes on television such as premiership football, formula one racing and Ben and Jerry with his family. He also loves going on holidays and enjoys reading.
Being a huge football fan he is always up to date with premiership and world football. Current NHS or Research Position: Mr. Ghosh is involved with elective and emergency gynaecology services at Queens Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital and participates in
the on- call consultant rota for Gynaecology. He is very proactive in teaching medical students and trainees and has students and trainees from University of Nottingham in clinics and theatres.

At Nottingham Treatment Centre he is actively involved in improving the Colposcopy services and is currently used for digital technology in colposcopy to detect precancerous changes of the cervix with greater precision and accuracy
Trainer in Colposcopy and a national examiner for the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
